Crypto is a pretty divisive topic, but as time progresses less so as it becomes abundantly apparent that cryptocurrency as it stands is well on the way towards regulation and normalised as part of this new-age utopian vision - tying into the proposed “Universal Basic Income”, “carbon-conscious” society.

This new ongoing series looks behind the curtain at the sort of individuals, the language used and the corporations/banking institutions involved (usual suspects) within the blockchain/cryptocurrency industry. We’ll end up in some familiar territory and there’ll be one individual in particular who will crop up regularly (hit up the comments if you’d like to propose who that might be). But for now, in this first video on the topic we take a trip to Richard Branson’s Necker Island which in 2019 was host to a (totally sus) blockchain conference.
